Wolf Spirit - train the trainer
This is a unique trademarked course that is ideal training to help you bring Wolf Medicine into your practice. Especially useful if you are an expert by experience in addictions and mental distress, teacher, social worker, therapist, mental health professional, psychologist, psychotherapist, counsellor, equine assisted therapist or already working in animal assisted therapy. It is a rewarding way to be alongside your clients.
This train the trainers course is run in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Isle of Wight as a one week intensive course with practice supervision and follow up. It is based on our successful programme for people in recovery but is suitable to be adapted to each practitioners field of work. You have a choice of three Wolf Spirit Train the Trainer pathways:
Pathway 1 leads to a Nature Therapy CIC certificate in Wolf Spirit: train the trainers. It covers work with horses, wolves, use of ancient knowledge, nature based art and mindfulness.
Pathway 2 leads to a Wolf Spirit nationally accredited level three qualification in Applied Therapeutic skills. In addition to Wolf Medicine techniques it includes learning about Attachment Theory, creating a therapeutic alliance, problem solving techniques, relational listening skills and understanding shame. Pathway 3 is a Wolf Spirit level three qualification in Education and Training. In addition to Wolf Medicine techniques it includes identifying needs, defining basic principles in teaching and planning and delivering a scheme of work using creative skills. It also includes communication skills and assessing learners.

What do we do?
To achieve one of the nationally accredited awards you will need to complete a portfolio of evidence on Wolf Spirit techniques aimed at bringing about transformational change.
This includes evidence of learning about therapeutic skills or teaching. You do not need to work direct with horses or wolves to complete your portfolio.
2017 dates (maximum 10 each course)
1. 24 - 28th July - Nature Therapy CIC certificate
2. 14 - 18th August - Therapeutic Skills
3. 2nd - 6th October - Education and Training
Further sessions by arrangement if you are on a national qualification pathway. This is to observe practice and assist with portfolio development. Can be undertaken by Skype.
